Sibs are paid, independent NYC local guides — not CITYSIB employees. You set your availability; we handle discovery, matching and payments when guide booking launches.
How it works

Tell us who you are, where you know, and how you show people the city.

A real person reads every application. No automated approvals.

License check
You must hold a valid NYC DCWP Sightseeing Guide license to guide paid tours.

Background screening
Completed through an independent third-party provider with your consent.

Admin approval
You appear publicly only after an admin approves your profile.
What we require
- · Valid NYC DCWP Sightseeing Guide license for paid guiding.
- · Independent contractor status — you are not employed by CITYSIB.
- · Your own liability insurance where applicable.
- · No off-platform payment requests, ever.
- · Honest listings: no fabricated access, discounts or credentials.
CITYSIB does not provide transportation, tickets or venue access. Guides are responsible for their own compliance with NYC and New York State law.

You can apply now and join the queue. Paid booking, payouts and guide profiles switch on only after licensing verification and safety review are complete.
